13 Ways of Looking at Your Parents- Jack Bush

I
You guys made me
Literally
From 8.1 pounds
Up to now
And everywhere in between

II
You are an example
When you get up at 6
And even 4:30
Just to go to work
And and to get ahead of the day

III
Your strength
Whether it’s standing up for me
When I get in fights with some random guy
Or tell me too keep going during a workout

IV
Your drive
Ha, literally
Too Ea and Delaware and the shore and back
Way too many many times

V
Your ability
Calming me down
Teaching me
Coaching me
Never leaving my side

VI
Forcing me to do things
Just cause you know it’s best for me

VII
Supporting my brothers and sister
Going to everything for me
Just for me
Even when it wasn’t convenient for you

VIII
Buying me clothes
Food
Bed
Roof
Everything I have

IX
Being understanding
After I do something wrong
But also making me learn from it
Which has made me a better person

X
Teaching me all your ways
How to act at the Linc
How to order a cheesesteak
How to what I want to do

XI
Teaching me about pain
How to deal with it
What to do when people are sick
What to do when I’m sick

XII
Pushing myself
Pushing yourself

XIII
I’ve tried to copy what you’ve done
So I could live like you
Everything I know I owe to two you
Without you I'm nothing
I love both of you
With every thing I have

  1. This poem is very powerful because is shows how much you love your parents. My favorite one is that last reason because it wraps it up nice.
