Limerick Poems
Everyday I wonder how my life will be in a couple of years
I think about what college is going to be like without my original peers
My life in the future can only be changed by what I do now
I have to think about what my goals are and the people I let into my life that I allow
Hopefully I can make my future life a good life with no limits and no fears
There once was a young little boy who lived in the outskirts of town
He always had big dreams of going to college at Georgetown
Slowly but surely, that dream started to come true
He had the best of the best grades and by that time he knew
All that he has worked for and he never let himself down
I like the last stanza because it talks about little mike and how he reached his goals. This was wrapped up nicely and it is a great poem.
ReplyDeleteI like how both poems relate to each other, even if they might now be stanzas of the same poem
ReplyDeleteI really liked this poem because it was abstract yet very nice to read.
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting how you took a poetry form that is normally humorous and used it for a more serious but uplifting poem. That was a really unique choice to make, and it made the poem more compelling.
