After hearing this whole album it was really interesting to compare to a male album. The female voice to me just gave a less harsh tone overall. The meaning behind every song was easy for me to find in all of them. Each song seemed to tell a story, and even the album title does. All of the songs go together under the album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” so within each song I felt like I heard something about learning whether for herself or her giving advice to someone else. I really liked this album and the meaning behind every song. I feel like I got most of her back story listening to about half of the album. She really seemed passionate about hip-hop and music which can be shown in all of her work.
