Where I Come From

I am thankful for where I come from

Dan Bush and Beth Bush

Dressage Court and Douglas Drive

Saint Peter and Saint Paul

These all have given me my toughness and drive above all, I am thankful

When I was younger, I had great toys and always got to hang with my boys

I got to run around in my enormous yard and play in the creek

I even got to spend my summers at my grandparents shore house,

which some would say is incredibly unique, I am thankful

I remember laying in the grass during summer nights, the smell always pleased me  

And the being at boardwalk with all of it’s sites: the rides, the shops, the beach, the sun

Playing football, baseball, basketball, lacrosse with everyone

My family loved me, came to everything, just for me, I am thankful

My Dad was one of my greatest role models, he showed me the way  

My dad trained me, he made me who I am, he instilled the toughness and drive in me

He taught me how to work hard and no matter the task, I was capable

Man, I ought to be thankful

I have lived a blessed life with plenty of opportunity

I have only my parents to thank because,

They have given me all these opportunities including this community

I am thankful for where I come from
