Life was so simple
All went so smooth without any ripples
From dinosaurs to cars
From raw fish to lars
Life was so oh so simple
Five years to now
Sophistication started
Not being oneself and identities were guarded
From new arithmetic to life systemic
From old old history to smoking things with hickory
Things took a turn
To being less simple
Present day now
Complexity is altogether found
People hiding who they really are, hearts with no sound
From snapchats to texts
From parties to hexes
From wandering eyes to parents’ sighs
From long online talks to grabbing the aux
Where did we take a wrong turn?
