Dear Jibreel,
Younger days we used to share the same room
We was babies, we even shared the same womb
Now you go to Penn Wood and I go to episcopal
wish we could go back to the days when we went to the same school
It's crazy, we went from babies to teenagers
but you about to move out soon so I'll see ya later
Don't matter if you move to manhattan
no matter what happen
we always gonna be boys sitting back while relaxing
watching movies laughing
playing 2k and madden
you used to push me in the wagon
make me happy when I sadden
Man you my brother you more than a friend
we always with each other all the way to the end
They said who I want to be like in life, you the one I recommend
I liked this poem because I have an older sibling and I feel the same way you do about him. I also liked when you recited this, you had good flow.
ReplyDeleteThis rap was really touching. It conveyed a lot of feeling and really spoke for itself, and it seems like an honest and emotional portrayal of how it feels to anticipate someone leaving but knowing you'll still be close in other ways.
