My Mixtape
Jackson Tuma
Immortal: J Cole
This song is from J Cole’s new album 4 Your Eyes Only and it immediately stuck to me. This song was on repeat for a good a good 2 weeks on my playlist. In this song he talks about his past and how rappers influenced him and his troubles as a kid. What means by immortal to me is that real ni**as are the people who kill others and only look out for themselves and have the most power so they never die. Another way that I think of this is that real ones don't die because they have such an effect that their legacy never dies. He also talks about the mentality of black people today is to sell drugs, rap or play basketball and that is the reason that they stay at the bottom and in the hood.
There He Go: Kodak Black
There He Go was the first song that put me on one of my favorite rappers now, Kodak Black. I liked his previous song No Flockin but it wasn't good enough for me to look at his other songs and this song was so good to me that I started to listen to his other music. This lead me to other of his good songs like Gave it All I Got and Like Dat. This is a song that I listen to on game day to get me pumped or to get me in a good mood.
Dip Dip: 21 Savage
Before listening to this song I was already a huge fan of 21 Savage, considering him my favorite new artists. I like 21 for his almost low key hype vibe he gives but this was the first hype song I really heard of his. This made me immediately made me latch to the song and it is my favorite 21 Savage song. I listen to this song to get hype before games.
No Tellin: Drake
I know this is a surprise but No Tellin is my favorite song from Drake. This song is not one of his popular songs and it was not talked about when the album came out. I love this song because it is hype then chill but it still has an aggressive tone to it. It has great lines like the one about him going hunting, which is one of my favorite lines ever.
Money Longer: Lil Uzi Vert
Money longer was the first Lil Uzi Vert song I listened to and it opened me up to at least 10 other amazing Lil Uzi songs. The beginning of the song makes me want to dance every time I hear it. The chorus is also very catchy so it stuck to me. This song is found on my main playlist and is played in the car and before games.
False Prophets: J Cole
False Prophets was released before J Cole's new album as a single and I was upset to see it not make it in the album. I like this song because he doesn't care about hurting other rappers feelings in it. In it he calls out his old favorite rappers like jay z and kanye. I listen to this song in car rides and as a chill song.
Law: Yo Gotti
I like this song because it is very upbeat and it makes me laugh. Some of the lines in the song are kinda funny and some of them are even good lessons. They may be said in not such an good way, but they are good lessons to teach. I listen to this song pregame and when I'm in a good mood.
Stay Schemin: Rick Ross
Stay Schemin is one of my favorite songs strictly because of Drake’s verse. I think this is Drake's best feature and it is flawless. It gets me excited every time I listen to it. I have this on my main playlist and listen to it before games.
Ali Bomaye: The Game
Just the meaning of the title is so cool. It was chanted during one of Muhammad Ali’s fights and means Ali kill him. The song also has great artists on it like The Game and Rick Ross. The intro of the song is also pretty powerful for a meaningless song. It talks about how he is looked at because of the things he has.
Red Opps: 21 Savage

My Last son on my mixtape is Red Opps. It is one of 21’s few hype songs which is why I like it. This song is very intimidating and gets me in the mood to just make plays before games. That is why I listen to it before games to get me pumped up.
I agree with the stay schemin, Drakes verse is flowy for sure, I also like The Game too.
ReplyDeleteThis mixtape is tough, I like all the rappers you chose except 21, I don't really like him. Other than then you kept it truthful and picked the songs you actually like
