Catalog Poem- Lauren Cunningham

I’ve got to take a shower

I only have an hour

Put on my necklace

Then go eat my breakfast

I drive over to school

Sitting in the car driving and not being a fool

Walk to first block and I sit at my desk

Focusing and learning new things in class

I eat lunch with my friends

Talking and hanging out before lunch ends

I make my way back to class

Waiting until I finish the last

I get ready and go to play my sports

My mom waits for me outside after so I make my shower short

When I arrive at home I start my homework

After I’m done I crack a relieving smirk

I eat dinner with my family and watch tv

I then text all my friends about the things I see

Talk to my parents about the week ahead

Just before they say “Get to bed”

I wind down and change in my bedroom where I’ll stay

I wake up the next morning and repeat the routine for the next day
