Started career as roadie backup dancer and MC for digital underground then branched off as a solo artist
Most of his songs are based around violence and hardships of inner cities, racism, and other social problems
After going to prison in 1995 he released his multi platinum album Me Against the World and became the first artist to have an album at number one on the Billboard 200 while serving a prison sentence
Died in Las vegas in 1996 at age 25 from a drive by shooting
On april 7, 2017 he is going to be inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame
