Catalog Poem - Raina Kuzemka

Raina Kuzemka
Things that take up my time

Everyday
I have to wake up at the sixth hour
I have to shower
I have to get dressed
I have to eat breakfast
I have to drive
I have to talk before we arrive
I have to go to school
I have to see my friends who are cool
I have to eat in the mess hall
I have to play basketball
I have to play soccer
I have to go home, shocker
I have to eat dinner
I have to listen to my sister who’s a winner
I have to do my assignments
I have to go to bed in silence

Everyday
I choose to check my phone
I choose to go on instagram, others and my own
I choose to snapchat because it’s cool
I choose to start a game of pool
I choose to hang out with my friends
I choose to watch Netflix until the show ends
I choose to pet my dog’s back
I choose to lay down and relax

  1. I enjoyed the difference between your chores and your leisure time, since the separation is really just choosing and having to do something. I think it might have worked a bit better if you meshed the I have to with the I choose to, so that the poem can better show the order of which you do something. Still, I love this poem.
