I’m from the
Bamboo trees i’m a warrior of the leaves
The evergreen scent might make me sneeze
two dogs in the yard frisbee yes please
I’m from the
All white christmas outside and in
Way too many presents spoiled my skin
Church once a year but all of us sin
Down at the beach through water with a fin
summer all over again
I’m from the academy schooligans
Tell us please don’t act like a hooligan
From the rich summering up in Maine
One couldn’t say my life is lame
People around me suffer from fame
Athletic program lives for the game
From the people who try to live life the same
I’m from the
Movie theatres and the
Wayne parking meters
The main worry is who’s your girl’s cheater
These problems plague our utopia
Stress, anxiety are the phobias
Problems compare
Contrast
Seem relaxed
But it's all about perspective
Our school-electives
White privilege
Where I’m from
This is also a very true poem. You get your point across that you are privileged. Also you always have I'm from on a separate line which makes it more of a bold statement.
ReplyDeleteI like this poem because the rhymes are fantastic and it sounds very truthful. The flow is also very good
