Daily Life Catalog- Jack Bush

After my mom wakes me up
And I hear too many barks from my pup
After I brush my teeth
And I put my socks on my feet

After I pack all my gear
And I think I'm in the clear
After I eat my Frosted Flakes
And hope my mom don’t hit the brakes

After I get dropped at school
And know i'm gonna see all the buhls
After I take the hike up the two flights
And see the bright lights

After I get in the room
And see all my goons
After I get to class
And I look out through the glass

After I finish all my exams
And I realize 2 more hours of sports god damn
After I finish my lift
And I do my speed training swift

After I get a rest mins of rest
And I study for my test
After I take my shower
And I hope to be in bed in 1 hour

After I lay my head on the pillow
And I think about how I saw that smoke billow
After I close my eyes one last time
And I think this life might be a crime

I finally get to to sleep in bed
Just to have it start all over again

  1. I really liked your poem because you were able to show and not tell. I feel like I was going through a day in your life. Good job!
