I chose this song (Angels) because it displays how Chancelor (Chance the Rapper) had to grow up in Chicago and face many struggles to make it to where he did. The song highlights how Chance had to grow up in the rough streets but persevered and became a role model, referenced when he says, "I'm a blueprint to a real man." This quote can sum up the entire song as the message is that even though you have it rough you can still make it. Throughout the song Chance references the culture of Chicago, for example at the end of the second verse he mentions Chicago's most recognizable radio stations power 92 and 107.5. The reason the song is called "Angels" is because Chance believes that angels who surround him are the reason that he made it to where he did.

This is also one of my favorite songs and Chance the Rapper is one of my favorite rappers. I Chance the Rappers songs all have a very important message that he is trying to convey. That is why I like listening to his raps.
