There's Alot Going On

I chose "There's Alot Going On" by Vic Mensa and video as one of my favorites because the song and the visual work so well together. Vic is telling his journey accompanied with a chorus that is more broad and uplifting.  "Know I never die/ We live forever in my mind/ And I sanctify we live forever, still alive". I think I like this song so much because it tells a personal story that people can somewhat relate to. A reminder that every life has its ups and downs. It shows what goes on behind the scene of a rapper. Wether it be hitting his girlfriend, addiction to drugs, or his mental health. After he tells his journey, he ends the song with "If you learn one thing from my journey, n**** it's don't stop believing/ When this shit got so suffocating I could barely even keep breathing / Wrote my wrongs in this song now I'd like to welcome y'all to my season". When an artist tells a personal story I think people connect to it more especially if it has a message that they can apply to their own lives.
